The Challenge
Minaal is a travel gear brand built around obsessive attention to detail. Their products are precise and considered and their storefront needed to reflect that same standard.
I was brought in after a theme migration to the Shopify Venue theme had already taken place. The migration itself was not my work but the problems it left behind were my assignment. Code conflicts from the migration were surfacing as visual inconsistencies: color values breaking, styling not rendering as intended, and sections that did not fully match Minaal's established brand identity.
The engagement was structured across two focused sprints, each with a clear objective.
Sprint 1 - Structure and Polish
The first sprint focused on the frontend look and feel. Sections needed refinement to properly express the Minaal brand. I worked through the theme's structure, adjusting layouts and frontend elements to meet the design specifications and bring the overall presentation up to the standard the brand demanded.
Sprint 2 - Brand Consistency and Conflict Resolution
The second sprint was more diagnostic. Color inconsistencies had emerged as a direct result of code conflicts from the migration. I identified the source of the conflicts, resolved them, and brought the styling fully in line with Minaal's brand across the storefront.
