I didn’t start in eCommerce. I started in a band.
When Delta Rae needed merchandise online, I built the store. What started as a side project turned into an obsession — the intersection of design, code, and commerce. That was 2018. I haven’t looked back.
Since then I’ve shipped Shopify stores for global brands like SVPWorldwide — parent company of Singer®, Husqvarna® Viking, and PFAFF® — and for local Nashville businesses just getting started. Forbes recognized me as a 30 Under 30 honoree in 2012. But the work I’m proudest of is simpler than any of that: stores that load fast, convert well, and don’t break when the owner needs to update something.
How I Actually Work
I start by listening. Tell me what you want, what you've built, and where you want to go. From there I'll put together a sharp, full picture of what it takes to get there — and if something needs to change to move forward and scale, I'll walk you through why."
My goal on every project is to design myself out of it. By the time we’re done, you should feel confident updating your own store — no fear of breaking something, no dependency on a developer for routine changes. I build it well enough that you don’t need me for the basics.
What that looks like in practice:
- Custom theme development in Liquid — no drag-and-drop shortcuts
- Conversion-focused page designs built around how your customers actually shop
- Performance optimization that shows up in Core Web Vitals, not just PageSpeed scores
- Structured data and on-page SEO that’s valid and doing real work for you
- Sections built so you can update content without touching code
- Clear handoffs with documentation your team can actually use
Why Shopify
I’ve worked across platforms. Shopify wins for most eCommerce businesses because it’s stable, scalable, and has the best ecosystem of tools and integrations available. But it only performs when it’s built right.
Themes get layered with apps until performance craters. Sections get customized by five different people until nobody knows what does what. Migrations happen without redirect maps and years of SEO disappear overnight.
I fix those problems. And I build new stores so those problems don’t happen in the first place.
Based in Nashville, Building Everywhere
Nashville’s creative and entrepreneurial energy is why I’m here. I work with local businesses across hospitality, music, retail, and professional services — and with brands across the U.S. and globally.
The process is remote-friendly. Collaboration happens in Zoom, Loom videos, Slack threads, and well-documented Notion docs — not endless meetings.
